THE SURGEON

A career built around two joints

Dr Rounat Jadhav is an orthopaedic surgeon and sports injury specialist with more than ten years in orthopaedic and sports injury care. He trained at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune, completing his MBBS in 2009 and his MS in Orthopaedics in 2016, then went on to a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee joint in 2020.

His practice at the Orthopedic & Sports Injury Clinic in Koregaon Park centres on the two joints that carry an active life. The casework is specific: ligament and meniscus tears, shoulder instability and dislocation with labrum injuries, rotator cuff pathologies, and the traumatic injuries, fractures and dislocations that arrive alongside them.

Patients tend to mention the same three things: he listens without rushing, he explains the options until they make sense, and he stays involved through your rehabilitation. When surgery is needed it is keyhole and minimally invasive wherever possible. Just as often the answer is physiotherapy, posture correction or simply time, and he will tell you so.
